Youth injured after shot at by gunmen in Kulgam, succumbs | KNO

Kulgam, Mar 27 (KNO): A youth who was shot at by unknown gunmen on Friday evening at Redwani area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district succumbed at GMC Anantnag hospital. Officials told wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that that the gunmen fired upon a youth identified as Mehraj Ahmad Bhat, son of Mohammad Akbar Bhat at Redwani Ghat this evening. “He was shifted to PHC Qaimoh in critical condition wherefrom he was referred to GMC Anantnag hospital for specialized treatment,” officials said. A doctor at GMC confirmed to—KNO that the youth who was injured has succumbed to his injury, who had received bullet injury in his leg. “Police has also taken cognizance of the incident and further investigations taken up,” the officer said— (KNO)
